So, this question goes out to all the video makers out there. What do you use to edit videos? Mac or PC? What software?
I started editing videos on my PC, using Pinnacle, but now I use a PowerMac G5 and for simple projects I use iMovie. If I need something more powerful, then I use Final Cut Express. At some point, I would love to have Final Cut Pro.

My favorite has always been iMovie just because the interface is so simple but the program is deep enough that it hasn't stopped me from doing what I want so far. I don't have my own Mac unfortunately so the one crumby part of this is that I always have to do editing from other people's places which isn't always the greatest way to go.

I have cut and joined movie clips and have done a lot of stuff like that, but i havent "edited" any video. I normally use vcd cutter software to cut and join the video clips the way I want.

I actually just got my camcorder so I only have the standard video editing program that comes with Windows Vista. I think it's called something like Windows Movie Maker. It's really basic and easy to use, which is perfect for someone like me who only adds music and plays around with the clips.

I only use Windows Movie Maker, but just because that's basically the only thing available at the moment. My brother took the liberty of taking our camcorder with him to Germany, so I really don't have much reason to use any sort of video-editing program.
But once I get a new camcorder (or that camcorder back) I'm interested to know what other programs I could use...

According to me pinnacle is the all time best software for video editing.I always use this for editing my videos & I've never tried for any other softwares.

I use my camcorder as well as the Digital Origin software. I have not used it in some time though. I am sure there is a much more updated version. I may need to get a newer version myself since i have just bought a new computer.
