I've been taking more shots now out of my normal subjects (city views, the cat, etc) and want to try to get a little more ambitious with landscape shots be it wide forest shots or city skylines from high up. What would you recommend as tips toward starting off in this field? I don't know if I'm going to be all that hot at it but I can picture some great photos I can get if I know what I'm doing so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I think that nature scenes are so pretty for landscape pictures. I especially like shots of sunsets and lakes and even sometimes pictures of the clouds. One of the prettiest pictures I ever took was a shot taken with the camera in my RAZR cellphone of the clouds and the sky. I actually took it while going down the highway in my car. I was pretty amazed at how nice it turned out.

I agree. I love any kind of pictures with large bodies of water, ocean or lake, with animals, boats and other things in there habitat.

I guess landscape shots will be great when combined with natural sceneries. Further you can start with simple landscape shots to a more complex one.
