I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to save a jpg out of Photoshop, but with a transparent background. When I try to do it, it always replaces the transparent background with a white one.

Forgot to mention...because I cannot use the jpg format to get the transparent background, I always save the picture as a png with the interlaced property. I've seen jpgs that have transparent backgrounds too, but I don't know how it's done.

Actually you can´t save jpgs with transparent backgrounds, what you can do is save it in png or gif with "transparency".
If you are using photoshop you can save it using the save for web option and set it to PNG24 and check the transparency box.

Jpg's can't save transparencies indeed. You have to save it as a PNG or a GIF.

It is impossible to save the Jpg pictures as transparent. you can set it has a transparent in the photoshop for your work. But, it is impossible to do that saving a picture in a transparent mode.

I believe that you cannot save transparent JPG's. You can save them in photoshop transparent for your work, but it isn't possible saving them transparent as JPG's. GIF's can be transparent though.

I have not tried to make any transparent Jpgs before. I think it would make a good background.

Well first off I didn't know you could do that but I guess it depends on where you re trying to put the picture in the first place.
