I was wondering how many of you guys sell your products. I have a friend who was very sensitive to others' thoughts, so she got carried away over that and never sold her products because she was afraid of the comments people would make. If only she would take a step back and look at the big, giant picture.

A lot of graphic designers really have no choice if you think about it.  You get hired to do an illustration or layout, and whatever you create, gets sold and published.  It's a shame that your friend never sold anything because she was afraid of other people's comments.  There are always going to be people that dislike what you do, but there are always going to be supportive people as well.

I right now am in the testing phase on my photo editing. My goal is to be able to edit photos for people or companies for some extra money. I do make and sell banners.

I have yet to sell any of my work. I'm not scared that it wouldn't be acceptable, but really just haven't taken the time to get started in it. I have sold other items I have made in the past, such as soy candles, and tend to go overboard once I've sold a few of my creations. I figure if I sold a few of my photos, it might jump start me into taking pics all the time so I could sell more and then other things in my life might get neglected.

It is really a bad thing that sellers usually get negative remarks even for a good sales. I previously sold some digital products and I only had partial success through them.

I've never sold design work - but I wrote a couple of ebooks and hired a designer to create a few covers for me. She got so obsessed that the covers weren't precisely perfect that she took 3 months to create them and then decided in the end she couldn't do it because people might think they were not good enough. So here I am learning to do it myself....
