I find it fun to listen to all my art director friends complain about fonts. It's such a passionate topic with them. And I'm married to one of them.
I even heard my husband complaining about the font on our toaster!
So, which fonts drive you crazy?

Old English is the ugliest font that I have ever ever seen. I really find it to be a ridiculous font.

It is indeed ugly but what about the complete atrocity that is Comic Sans MS? I find that to be the single most irritating font ever created. Just everything about it yells tackiness and cute in your face but it looks horrible the entire time it's doing so.

Hee hee. I have to admit that I used to LOVE Comic Sans MS. I used it for everything online before I realized that my websites probably looked like they were made by a 6 year old girl hugging a bunny. I agree with you R1986 - too cute.
I pretty much hate any font that is too complex to be able to read. Some appear to be made just to mess with people. Personally, I also have Times New Roman on websites. Sans-serif is preferred online.

I hate the courier fonts with a passion. Everytime I see someone writing with it, it reminds me of that old Ghostwriters show that was on Nickelodeon for a while, or really any mystery show or novel. But it's so thin and odd-looking that it doesn't look good anywhere else!

I used to hate Courier until I trained myself to write in it. I'm a fiction writer and Courier is proper manuscript font. You get used to it. It would be horrible for a website though.

Yuck, Courier looks so dated! I hate all the really grungy, splatter effect type fonts. Distressed ones are just too untidy for me. I feel the same way about chunky fonts like Impact or Rockwell Extra Bold in fact. The chunkiness weighs too heavy on the page for my liking.
I liked Comic Sans but you've all put me off it now, ha! Never thought of it as being cutesy, I must admit.
