I sell my work for fun only. What about you? Most people are very iffy about quitting their day job in a cubicle or wherever they work into the online world. But guess what? A lot of people make more online than in a cubicle, but you still have to make sure your freelance job is stable and brings in income every month.

Yes, I too am a freelancer. I began doing illustrations as a hobby, but then began getting paid for it so I decided to expand a bit. I love my day job and honestly am too nervous to just become an illustrator. If I had a degree in visual arts, it would be a different story.

I'm also a freelancer. I have nothing against offices, but in the area I live are no offices I want to work. I want to work for a company that makes flash games, so that's pretty specific and there are none in the area I live.
I live in the Netherlands btw, we don't have cubicles here, so that probably makes offices a little better :p
With no interesting companies in the area I'm a little bit forced to freelance, but it doesn't matter. I like freelancing and if I find an interesting company, I can freelance for them. I don't have to worry about income very much because my boyfriend also works fulltime and we can live from his money alone too.
I make illustrations, animations and flash games btw :) In 1 month I will get my degree in Multimedia Design.

I do most of my photography for family and friends. I just love it. I have never even thought about selling anything. As I am still new to the tech world it is getting easier for me to work within my editing programs. |

I am a freelancer in one sense of the word. I am an independent contractor and work for various companies doing customer service work, writing, and data entry. However, I have never actually sold any of my photography work. I usually just do that to have pictures for myself or to give as gifts to my family. I just don't have the confidence yet to expect someone to pay for my pictures. |
