Hey everyone. I'm looking to get a camera, digital or analog and wanted one that I would be able to use from basic level to more advanced work so I'm trying to find something that's accessible but also allows me to progress artistically as well. Pretty much an entry-level camera that has a lot of room to breathe.

What would you recommend? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

I would love to know the answer to this too. I especially would like to know the best all around digital camera that doesn't drain the batteries in only a short time of use.

My mother in-law just bought her a new canon digital video and picture camera for about $120 and it does wonderful work. I have alraedy started downloading and editing her video this past weekend. Great picture quality.

Cool! That's not a bad price at all for a Canon, especially if it takes great pictures! So, how is the battery life? That would really be a good bargain if it doesn't drain the batteries.
