My mother is into painting with the water colors. Where can I find the cheapest place online to buy her the paints she needs? She does very good work after having been painting pictures for 10 years now and I would like for her to continue it.

I have seen some really nice affordable watercolor paints on a website called cheapjoes.com. They also have some nice looking paint kits that are also very affordable. I would prefer to buy a kit myself and save more as compared to buying them individually.

There are 2 types of watercolors... "student quality" and "artist quality".
Student quality is cheaper, but not very good to make paintings. It's more for children who can't paint good anyway. Artist quality is really a must when you want to make good transparant paintings. Reading your mom paints for 10 years already, she really needs artist quality.
I always buy Van Gogh watercolors in pans instead of tubes, I think they are great. They are also not very expensive. Winsor & Newton is also a good brand.

i think the best place would be a local store.you can get good varieties of stuff there at very reasonable rates. camlin is the best option for me.its high quality with affordable price.

You can find cheap watercolor paints in e-bay or cheapjoes. These auction sites offer wide range of varieties to choose from.
